Carol...heart felt sorrow for your loss. I'm so sorry. 51 years together is amazing and, I pray, the memories collected of your beautiful life together will help sustain you in many blessings.

Sending you lots of ((hugs)) and my deepest sympathy. I hope that good memories will help you through this difficult time and also knowing that many of us on QB are thinking of you and your family and are here for you. Do take care.

Thank you all for the comforting words, prayers, and hugs. I've been part of this board long enough so that I feel like many of you are part of my family; I truly appreciate the hugs and support. Quilters are an amazing group of caring people. Jim had some incredible experiences with God as he spent his last hours teetering between heaven and earth and those also carry me through. God Bless you all!

Oh Carol, I am so sorry to hear of your loss! Hugs and prayers to you as you learn a new way of life. How comforting to know your husband experienced the Presence of God at the end. The same happened when my father passed and it gave me great reassurance that he would be waiting for me in Heaven, without a doubt. Hang on to your 51 years of memories and know that we all are thinking of you.

Awesome that he won the battle in the end, Carol! Remember that his joy is greater than your pain.

I knew I was going to get completely derailed if I didn't finish before the boom fabric arrived and sure enough been working on boom blocks and not the 3 Ringo's Sister blocks I have to go.
