Thanks for posting the link, NZquilter, I hope you will join us after all!

Mariposa, you indicated someone would start the new thread today?

This looks like it will be a colorful quilt!

Switching Bonnie's paint chip photo to black and white, it looks to me like the green is the dark dark, the red and blue are dark, the darker orange is medium, the light orange is a light medium and the neutrals are lights?

To me, all the colors look to be of the same "value", more or less. There is that paler orange, but she didn't seem to follow it in the fabrics she showed. The neutrals seem to provide the contrast. And she didn't go with as much color in her neutrals as in past years... hmmmm. Interesting. And veeeery mysterious.

I want to see what Kass comes up with for her colors!

I have it printed, but not read yet, am saving it to read with my mid-morning tea.
I love to have things to look forward to!

No one NEEDS the paint chips, but I'm sure in the course of the day we'll pass a Lowes.
We will need to winterise the 5th weel soon so are heading out to Squim
https://www.visitsunnysequim.com/ for a few days
and Saturday I have an all day yoga retreat...life is good. See you on the other side whenever we are allowed to have the thread. rolls eyes...

Yes, SBG, the printer friendly button is the best. Mine went right to my printer and for some reason it printed on both sides of the paper. I had no idea my printer would do that.

I found the two rulers mentioned but I have been looking for my bonus buddy for about 2 weeks now. I moved a sewing desk and it is gone. I find it and I will tie a large rope to the hole in the end.

The bonus buddy is only 5 inches long and transparent. I have the smaller one, but it is too short.

I was thinking, the colors Bonnie choose are so vibrant, that being tiny pieces, it could end up like Grand Illusion-- also lovely called Grand Chaos. There doesn't seem to be a color, other than the neutrals, that the eye can rest on and relax. But maybe that is just for me. I wonder how it would work with a soft brown/muted gold instead of the orange? Mysteries... we won't know until the reveal, lol!

I started a new thread and it's in moderation awaiting approval.

It made me think of Grand Illusion also, where the pink, gold and aqua were of similar value. But that didn't have very small pieces other than the sashing checkerboard.

I've apparently asked incorrectly and been denied. Someone else's turn!

who did you ask?
i got no request for permission to host the related challenge.

i did get a weird, vague inquiry asking me to start a thread.
1. i don't pay any attention to the BH Mystery quilts
2. so had no information; and
3. have no interest in "mentoring" a "follow-it-challenge".

if you want to host the 2018 version, review the announcement/procedures from the last one.
send me a proper request for permission to host.
unless somebody else beats you to it, i will grant you permission.

OK, folks, I posted a new thread for Good Fortune in this section but Patrice moved it to links. Then I discovered that Ibex94 had posted one earlier today but failed to let us know. Please use her thread: https://www.quiltingboard.com/links-...s-t300606.html. I've asked Patrice to delete mine.

both posts were just information.
neither officially starts anything.

I forgot that Mariposa asked a while back if she could host the 2018 challenge.
watch that section for her announcement. :)
