Here is a guess, just to show my colors together. Sort of a star block... probably wrong. :D

Oh boy, you caught up in a hurry! I am enjoying your colors, it will be a beautiful quilt.

Think of tree trunks against a sunrise sky with low clouds, and that color is perfect. Some of my browns have deep greens.

We each make a quilt from the picture in our own mind.

I also have a featherweight and a 301, and for a portable machine they are much easier to handle. One of the really cool things is that the feed dogs drop on the 301. There are rumors that Westalee is making a slant ruler foot and I am looking forward to that. I just do love my Singers, I know there are other manufacturers out there, but for some reason these old Singer machines really appeal to me.

I love the old Singers too. I have 2 301's. Both the long bed and the short one. I did not think that it would make so much difference untill sewing on them. You need to take this into consideration if you have the choice.

do any of you do leader enders? My fall back L&E's are 1.5" four patches, but I'm making a back along with the front for this mystery, using recycled shirts and just building it out as I go. Currently it is up to about 30X50. the center is left overs from Tumalo Trail.

Pretty flock of geese, Cathy... and I just can't believe your mini version, right along with it. That's going to be amazing. Is it half size of everything?

Ube, your fabrics are beautiful. They are lovely, soothing blocks.

Rob, you could make one brown be a "constant"... all the same brown throughout the quilt. Otherwise just audition your other darks against your corals and aquas. Something in your stash is bound to work. :o

Hey, good news! Operation Fingertip is a success! When I took the bandage off last night, I had a cherry red fingertip, instead of the waxy white one. It's re-attached and has blood flow re-established... already! The tip is completely sealed back on, where I don't even have to keep it wrapped. I'm so surprised. Must have been all those good wishes!

Sorry for that huge, in-your-face hand!!

Kalama, I love quilts made from recycled shirts! That is gorgeous and should be it's own quilt.

I don't do leaders and enders, because my Juki sews from the edge without needing a leader/ender to help it. No need of them unless I just wanted to do it. Looks like you got a lot done using leaders and enders. Maybe I should rethink it.

KalamaQuilts, I do leader/enders. My L/E that I'm doing while working on this mystery are the border units for a baby quilt.

Taking a lunch break, eating my salad and catching up on everything here.

Great clue 2 pictures everyone, just love seeing all the different variations! I'll post pictures of mine in a little while.

SBG, glad to see that your finger is healing nicely.

Because this is my 1st Bonnie Hunter mystery I'm curious, does she wait until the end for us to sew up all these little pieces?
