I signed up late. She says on her web page to contact her (I emailed her) if we signed up late. She has already sent me the first block. Sounds like a great lady to work with.

Love your block, Christine!
I found out pretty quickly I am very short on Civil War pinks. Think I have plenty of everything else, esp. neutrals!
I'm glad the sign up is working well for everyone and that she is sending out the block promptly to everyone who asks. I'm loving the 10" size of these blocks. They will look great in a quilt.

I find I do better with a BOM or BOW if I am part of a group, like this. It keeps me going and on track when I see other people's blocks and progress.

Nice block, Connie! Civil War fabrics are reproductions of actual fabrics that were used during the early to mid 1800s. You can use any fabric you like, tho. I like your batiks! The blocks will be pretty in any fabrics.
I think she said she was building the skill level each week, so this week's was very easy... just squares and HSTs. Wonder what's next?

I just received the block instructions today from Debbie, I can't wait to get started. I have very limited fabrics for this project at this time but I can't think of a better reason than to go out shopping for more, lol. Hope to get started on this block in the next day or so, I do have several fq's that should work great for this block.
