I had forgotten about Pettipants. Looked it up and they still sell them. Not the ruffled pants; a half slip with two pant legs. Reminds me of Pedalpushers. Oh how I loved them! And I also loved my bell bottom Hip-Huggers. Long before the time of belly button rings. We just showed our navels and thought we were sooooo cool!

I remember having a crinoline slip, mine was scratchy as heck, I don't remember wearing them for too long. Several years later I can remember getting home from school just in time for American Bandstand. And...I have a black and a white pair of the half slip pants, they are so comfortable to wear under dresses.

Thanks for a trip down memory lane.

TV dance show? American Band Stand? Ok wanna talk about old... how about Crenoline half slips?
I got a box for free off of Craig's List. Hubby found it and picked it up for me. To me they are the new 1930 fabrics.

Just want to share. I have a project started that requires eight 12" blocks in CW prints. I'm not feeling great today so don't feel like much sewing. Figured I'd make one more block anyway. Its called Weathervane. Its actually made using my new fabrics from Whittles and the part that looks gray is deep blue. The background is a vine on tan fabric. I don't know why the colors don't show up better! Oh well, I know you all like to see blocks so here it is!

American Bandstand with Dick Clark as the host. My best friend wanted to go so much. It was set in Philly and we lived in California. We never made it.

Beautiful Block JustJan. I finally finished my block and the second block for the other quilt of the week. Whew finally caught up for the week. I also wanted to go on BandStand. I also lived in Calif and couldn't go. But there was Record Hop in San Jose and I went on there. That was back in like 19 64 I think. I was about 14 or15 then.

Thanks. I just finished my Arizona block for my other project. Then guess what... I cut my finger! Its sore and hurting so I will not be making any more blocks for a few days. I still need to make 5 blocks to get caught up in this R&R. Had figured to make them this weekend. Will see how fast my finger heals! Anyway, here is another of my 12" Civil War blocks.
