I have sewn one block and I can see a big oops. When I went scrambling for more reds I threw in a few too dark. I'm thinking that's going to be a problem later. I'm reluctant to change it.

Not sure yet if I'll go with a diagonal or straight set. I like them both. Sewbizgirl's set is gorgeous and I love NZquilter's sashings too.

So many beautiful blocks here and all the colors are terrific.

I was very cautious, making only test units during the mystery. I like the on point reveal, but will match fabrics within each block to cut down on the busy-ness. I usually prefer both on-point settings and pieced sashing. Also liked the idea of the coral/aqua combo; tired of red/aqua.

Enjoying all the pictures of revisions.

Macybaby: Great alternate; may try it with a 4-fabric palette.

Sewbizgirl: Nice straight set; will save as inspiration for a future quilt.

I finished one block because I wanted to see how my fabrics worked out. Here is my sample:

Very pretty from where I'm sitting.

Emily, I love your darker fabrics. I think they will be fine. A nice block too!

JeanieG, I really like your small calico browns. They are so dainty This will make such a pretty quilt.

Very pretty preview block, JeanieG....

Bluebonnets, no opps at all! I love the reds and the dark ones just add depth to your quilt. I wouldn't take them out.

Can't wait to see more pics! Sew like the wind, everyone.

That's beautiful, BlueBonnets. I don't think you need worry about the dark red. The block is repeated 50 times, so even if there are places of lower contrast, I think the shape will be easily perceived.

That looks great, JeanieG. Really dark browns seem to be a big plus with this design (I'm wishing I hadn't introduced some less dark ones in my clue 5s).

Thanks Fraew, Joe'smom, Sewbizgirl, NZquilter, they stay. That's a relief.

Love your block, JeanieG. I'm really enjoying all the corals, melons and oranges in these units, blocks. I seldom work with them but oh, how fun they look.

I am wondering how my setting triangles would do if I made them the dark brown. I am considering that or neutrals as well as the aqua but I have time. I saw a lady on Instagram who is using neutrals and I liked it a lot.

Love that red one, but I like the bold orange too. Sewing like the wind????? Sorry, I'm so slow in minus 19 degree weather.

That is why I am afraid of mystery patterns. I like to see the whole thing ahead of time. Then I know what areas to tweak. How different would it look with darker aqua in the 9 patch?

All you are so brave, not to mention talented. I'm still working on Allitaire.

Okay ladies and gents, I have enough brain power today to play with my puzzle pieces but not enough to make any real decisions. Here are my options so far.
