RJL, I use photo bucket for hosting, and sometimes they are having aproblem and pictures are temporarily unavailable.
I'm not sure if I want to try the applique using needle turn or machine. I think I got turned off on Needle Turn applique when I was doing the Affairs of the Heart. I only completed 12 blocks and then was so sick of it I couldn't get motivated to do any more. I was satisfied with my ability, it just seemed so tedious and time consuming.

That’s annoying MB as there is still no pic! I haven’t decided yet either. I do a lot of hand sewing so I’m sure I could do needle turn - it just hasn’t appealed so have never tried it. Lots of the needle turn methods seem to use freezer paper which we don’t get over here. We have to buy an imported box which is about £10 - anothervthing that has put me off. I will do mine over the wkend - probably on Saturday.

I think I'm going to use paper piecing for the pieced ring, and then use the appliquick method to turn under the seam allowance and then hand stitch it on. And maybe try the tin foil method to make the inner circle. Will be fun to try some new methods and see how it works.
I don't think I've used freezer paper for any applique so far.

It took me awhile to find where this thread had gone to. Lol. I am participating in this block of the week. I am using a collection of Thimbleberries fabrics I had leftover from my farmers wife quilt. I’m looking forward to seeing everyone’s blocks. I am having trouble attaching my pictures. I will try to get that figured out and post them.
