Patg- right now, I’m just sewing them together, willy nilly, no plan yet. Just improvising as I go. Instead of sewing them together the usual way (right sides together w/ quarter inch seam), this time I’m slightly overlapping them face up and stitching a decorative stitch on the overlap to hold them together (think appliqué). A few years ago I did one where I sewed the pieces together and then cut them into squares and rectangles and used them like blocks in a quilt. I’ll see if I can find photos of that one and post it later today. That one was a little more fiddly than the one I started this week. The new one is meant to be a mindless sewing project for me when I'm tired of working on things that take thought or precision but still want to play with my sewing machines .

Almost the end of the month and I can tell you know that there will not be a UFO finish for me this month. I am working on hand stitching the binding on a lap quilt that I'm trying to decide was it a UFO or very long WIP? No picture for this one yet.
On the up side I have started getting my sewing mojo back. It's great to read the posts each day and see all the great finishes this year. I did figure out a back for a UFO from 2005 and should have it done next month. It is currently under the left over pieces that I am going to use for the back. It's the green, yellow, black and white photo.
I am also trying to figure out what I want to do for a binding on a baby quilt I just finished. This is the first time I worked with Minky. I have yet to figure out how not to do dense quilting. I think it my be a little overkill but I like it. I am leaning toward putting on a yellow satin binding.

Thanks for the photo, Irish. I think I have seen it, & *rats!* tje Etsy shop still has some. Oh well, I don't need it, & I don't want to add more fabric to my collection.
On the other hand, I'm really progressing on the blocks I'm making with the fabric I did buy, over a year ago... So far I have 40 blocks made. Not as great as I thought, because i need 100, not 56. I read the amount for the wrong size quilt. Bummer.

I enjoying seeing all of the finished UFOs.
I didn’t get to my UFOs this month. Tomorrow I will put the blue and wine top on the long arm and start sewing. And the next week will do the lab top. Then January’s ufo projects will be completed.

Dedemac- glad to hear you’re getting your sewing mojo back. Both those quilts are going to be gorgeous!
today I'm going to bind two quilts that are Not UFOs, but once they’re done, I am going to pull out the next UFO that I want to get finished this year. I finally figured out how to handle a design issue I had with it (after letting it sit for several years) and am anxious to work on it again!
