Oh, YES, I'm up for this challenge too!! I don't even know how many UFOs I have, but I surely need to finish a few of them this year. I'm going to go through them and pick out 5 to finish this year. Then I need all of y'all to hold me accountable!

I know I will never be able to do one a month but if I even get two of my 4 quilt tops completed in 2012, I will be very happy!

I don't know how I missed this topic on 12-13-11 - so another thread got started, but I will try to contact all that posted to my thread and get them to start posting on this one. I am going to list my UFO's because I have so many. I think my total for 2011 is 17 completed UFOs. Several of them only needed binding. My goal for 2012 is going to one per month and hopefully I will exceed that number again.

Here is my list of UFO's: (I may find more put away somewhere)

22. Pink Green Floral 23. Floral Bed Runner 24. Dick & Jane Baby Quilt
25. Apron Quilt 26. Pink Toil Baby Quilt 27. Old Auction Quilt
28. Pink Elephant Baby Quilt 29. Blk/White Red Recycled 30. Tutti Frutti French Braid
31. Old Panel 32. Turning 20 33. Brown Floral Attic Window

I'm in for 2012 as well. Still working on my December UFO in the other thread, but reaching that goal seems less likely every day. On the other hand, there's alwasy Christmas - a whole day to quilt except for the time spent in the kitchen

I know we can all do this. We love to quilt and life has its moments on stealing our time, but we will do it together. I am excited to see the old fabrics and patterns that have been set aside for us to finish. I have a quilt to finish up for my BIL this week and have to make up a healing quilt for boss' wife who is having such difficulties so the UFO pile will get one less because I need to finish one and she needs one. See how that works? I killed two birds with one stone as the phrase would go. it pays to cut things up even though it was several years ago. Then I will use another UFO for a quilt swap for a partner here on the board. Good way to get motivated there. You can still sign up today. It is the last day. Will give you incentive to finish an UFO if you need it. Then onto my SIL that has been waiting 1.5 years to get his which is sitting there waiting for me. I am like most, we get distracted onto another quilt that has to be done and loose motivation to finish the ones we started. Then I wil get on thos other 130 or so UFOs that are there. Yes, my daughter is still keeping track. I will photo as I go so can get record of progress. It will be interesting.

Yes please! I hadn't discovered this board at the beginning of 2011, so signed up for another UFO challenge elsewhere. Didn't do that well - I think I finished 4 and made a bit of progress on others - but also started 2 new projects. Oops. But that does leave me slightly ahead, doesn't it..

I've been quilting for about 8 years, and have about 15 UFOs at stages from just started to just need finishing touches. I'm so easily distracted onto the next new project....and I think that the UFOs are actually inhibiting me from spending time quilting - I've felt a bit overwhelmed by them. I think I'm going to pack them up and put all but one out of sight, to see if that will help me focus.

I'm going to get started this very evening! I haven't done any sewing for weeks, and am itching to get back to it, so I've promised myself a break from Christmas preparations this evening and tomorrow. I have a small wall hanging which just needs the binding finished and threads tidied up , so maybe I can get the 2011 count up to 5!

Okay I'm going to give this another try. I didn't do so well last year, sigh. Some of my UFO's are knitting, cross-stitch and just plain old sewing, but they still need to get done!

OK, I'll join in. My DH is in rehab with knee replacement right now so I have no time to make the presents I started or didn't even get started on!

Is it any UFO? Because I have some purses in various states that need to be completed as well as some quilts.
