I used to fry cucumbers when we had a a garden. I was pretty much the only one who ate them. Good idea slicing them lengthwise, wish I 'd thought of that.

Cukes fit right in a mixed grill.Along with sliced zucchini etc.I brush them with italian dressing. There's never a sliver left.

Oh yummy this sounds good. I have never had fried cucumbers but I always make me cucumber sandwiches with tortillas. I just peel the cucumber (fresh out of the garden is even better) slice it and put it on a warmed tortilla (of course these are even better if the tortilla is homemade) but yum yum. I have had these since I was a little girl. I went to a quilting retreat at my friends house the first time I decided I needed a tortilla cucumber sandwich and they thought I was crazy but now they eat them too. I gotta tell them about the fried cucumbers with all the grilled things on it. Thanks for sharing this.

I need to try this. I have 2 cucumbers in the fridge now and the only way I know to use them is salads and marinated.
I wonder how mushrooms would work with them. I love to try new things.

I made zucchini fries in the oven with breading. They were in a Weight Watcher book and they are delicious(4 pts plus).
