I just use the can opener, then put my thumbs on either side of the cover, turn it upside down over the sink and squeeze. Then move my thumbs further around the cover and squeeze again. It's pretty much dry after I'm done.

LOL...ugh, I hate draining tuna! I have found that keeping the tuna in the fridge so it's cold helps. It keeps it together better. I usually use the lid and squeeze like everyone else, and I've tried using my ricer. A little too much trouble unless I'm opening 2 cans or more.

I buy StarKist chunk light Tuna. It is packed in water but on the package it says no draining. And there isn't any water to drain. It is wonderful. You might want to try it.

Put it in a strainer and mash it with a fork or spoon.

I just dump it in my hand and wring it out over the sink, then lay on a paper towel to "dry." (I don't like soggy tuna either :) ) The larger cans I do in two or three dumps. I separate my eggs with my hands, too.

This is what I do too, but I like the idea of draining it into the cat/dog bowls. Never thought to give them a treat, duh!!!!

First drain off what you can using the lid to hold the tuna in can. Paper towels flolded up and put in the bottom of a bowl.
