I have the 6 qt Cuisinart and I absolutely love. There are just two of us at home and that is a great size. It stays on my counter - I use it that much. The food I do the most in is chicken. In the space of about 30 mins - total - I have cooked chicken breasts. Tender and perfect. While they are still hot, I throw them in my kitchen aid and pretty much instantly, I have cooked, shredded chicken breasts. You can also use a hand mixer and get the same result. That simple ingredient saves me a lot of time in the kitchen. Hard boiled eggs! Never, ever have I been able to make decent hard boiled eggs. They are done so fast and come out perfect with egg shells literally sliding off the eggs. Beans! I now make our refried beans using ingredients and spices that make those beans taste so yummy and so quick! I freeze them and use them up as needed. Great for the budget! Roasts. Yummy, perfect, tasty, moist - throw in some potatoes and oh yum! Mashed potatoes! They turn out great and no mess. Rice! I have literally thrown in raw chicken, rice, canned beans, some spices and dinner is done. I absolutely cannot say enough about this amazing appliance. I'm not sure what the 9 in 1 pot, 7 in one pot is all about because I pretty much just use 3 buttons to get dinner going. Clean up is a breeze. The main reason I held off getting one was because of the size - I just didn't know where I would put it. But it has earned front and center on my countertop. I have never been more pleased or satisified with an applicance like the electric pressure cooker. Best invention (besides the sewing machine of course!)

I have 6. I love them. I use them 3 to 4 times a week. Most of my recipes I just put all the ingredients in and turn it on.
I have made yogurt, many chicken dishes, beef dishes, pasta dishes, ribs, fish, rice, beans, mashed potatoes, butternut squash, spaghetti squash, apple sauce. Just to name a few. I still use my oven, but I have had a lot of success, and some fails, with my instant pots. There are many resources out there. Some people are intimidated by an Instant Pot. But they are very easy to use. I am extremely glad that I purchased mine.

My husband loves it and I hate it. It enables him to start dinner at 5:30 and have it on the table in less than an hour. As he does most of the cooking I shouldn't complain. We've come to an understanding on what and what should not be cooking in the Instant pot. It's awesome for liquid stuff. Stews, braising, soups, chili's etc. but as far as I'm concerned that's it.
Things lack flavor. When it's my turn to cook I"m old school. Slow long simmering etc. Hubby does admit the flavour is better. And there is always too much!

I bought one and had trouble getting it to come up to pressure every time. Sometimes it would and sometimes it wouldn't. I never knew when it was going to decide to work. Murphy's Law mandated that it was only with the most expensive, hard-to-cook-otherwise ingredients like babyback ribs.
I troubleshooted with the warranty department, and after many tests, they reluctantly sent me a new one. The new one started doing the same thing. I got frustrated and gave it away.
I liked using it for soups. If I knew I could get one that didn't have any problems, I probably wouldn't. I'm retired and have a bunch of time and pots/pans to use. Like alot of gadgets, there is alot of extra cleanup required... now I'm wondering about an air fryer. LOL!

We just recently bought one after DH heard about them & did some research on them. We bought a 6 qt. and the 8 qt. We keep the 6 qt. on the counter & only bring out the 8 qt. when we need more volume. Even though we are only 2 people, we wanted the larger one to make baby back ribs & tamales in. DH generally cooks up 2 or 3 racks of ribs at a time & then I put them in food saver bags & freeze. It takes us about 6 months to eat them up. I just learned how to make homemade tamales about 3 months ago & our steamer that we used for them just was not the right size & it took them "forever" to cook.
We bought the Instant Pot brand & really like it.
So far we have made the ribs, tamales, pulled pork (pork butt roast), russet potatoes, sweet potatoes, corn on the cob, green beans, dried pinto beans & soup. The soup was the only thing that wasn't so great but it was because DH just added stuff he thought would be good & he's not the greatest when it comes to making up his own recipe.
I'm going to try boiling eggs this week. I hear they turn out so easy to peel in the IP.
I really like the fact that it doesn't heat up the kitchen like the crockpot does. The only down size is that you don't smell those yummy smells while it's cooking.
From everything I've read about them, there are people who love them & people who don't. Seems like there are more people who love them.
