I'm trying out a new recipe tomorrow called "Millionaire Shortbread". I'll let you know how it turns out. It's a shortbread layer with a caramel layer and a chocolate layer on top of that. What's not to like???

Mini turnovers! Purchase the puff pastry sheets in the frozen section , and fill with any number of choices. Mini Layers cakes , using the smallest muffin tins. You can bake several kinds of the mini, cut them through the middle Or use thin sheet cake and cookie cutter them. And re-layer them .. frosting inbetween. and then frost/ice the top. Use a thin icing so doing the sides is just a pour method.

How about the mini cheesecakes that you make in the small muffin tins? Leave some plain and then top the others with canned cherries and blueberries. You could even use one of those Jello mixes or find an easy recipe on allrecipes.com

I'm having a shower next month and will take all these ideas into account as well....now for the entree? I want something quick and easy and lovely and most of all easy to eat. Don't want to do tea sandwiches. any suggestions?

I do mini beef sausages. I buy 1 package of croisant and cut strips and wrap around the mini sausage. One page of both works out even. I first boil all the packages of mini sausages to get all the fat out I can . I am all about cutting fat. Dry the sausages off before wrapping the croisant strip around it. Put on a cookie sheet and cook on 350 degrees untill light to medium brown. Experiment with one so you can see hoe it comes out. You can eat them plain, with honey mustard, or any other dip of your choice. Hope this helps.

Bake a couple of different sheet cakes, and cut out mini cakes with a round cookie cutter. Frost one, then stack a second layer on top and frost outside of cakes, or sprinkle with powdered sugar. I saw this done with several different cakes and frostings at a shower. The variety of mini cakes made a very impressive presentation, and were delicious.
