Thread: Quick Crust Peach cobbler

    1 quart peaches
    1 cup selfrising flour
    1 cup sugar
    1 stick butter
    3/4 cup milk
    Melt butter in casserole dish. Mix all ingredients except the peaches in a bowl and mix thoroughly. Pour in casserole dish on top of the melted butter. then pour the peaches on top and bake at 350 degrees until golden. (30 to 40 minutes)

    I have fresh blackberries, hubby wants me to make a gobbler out of I wonder if you could use this recipe with them.

    canned or fresh. Just make sure there is plenty of juice. It is so much better with plenty of juice. I use canned peaches. (some I canned myself) But, like some of the others said, you can use any kind of fruit. Blueberies, Blackberries....... You name it. Quick and easy!!

    Yes!! you can use fresh blackberries. Just cover your blackberries with water and cook about 30 minutes. Let cool and them use the whole thing instead of peaches!!

    You can use this with any fruit. It is wonderful, but mine calls for 1 cup of milk. It is wonderful with fresh fruit, especially apricots. Enjoy!!!

    This recipe is also very good w/fresh strawberries that have been sliced & set w/sugar on them for a few hours. YUMMY!

    Peach cobbler is one of my favorites. I will have to try this, it sounds easy and delicious.
