I'm having the glass of wine first...(Life is short...lol), then throwing everything into the CrockPot for vegetable beef soup and eating fresh Italian bread to go with it...and then another glass of wine...lol...Naomi

Hadn't thought much about it but I'm glad you are on the ball with some very tasty sounding ideas.

Have to chime in and say on Tuesday our high temp was 84. Then overnight Wednesday and for most of the day on Thursday, we got over 4 inches of snow, and highs in the 30's! We are to be back in the 70's today...LOL...the saying around here is If you don't like the weather, stick around, because it can and does change within hours!". I have lived here my whole life, and it is so true! As far as food, we had a brisket, and the next day we made bbq sandwiches with the leftovers...other snowy weather favorites are homemade chili and cornbread, and beans and cornbread...I also love to bake homemade bread...
PS Will have to try your recipe, rushdoggie...

A few years back I found a potato soup recipe that I decided I'd try. It called for a bit of cheddar cheese. But I had plenty of cheese so I added bunches. It was delish! But has to be called cheese soup with potatoes instead of just potato soup.
