Can you please post your recipe for the sweet potato filling? We have a bumper crop this year and I am always looking for ways to use them.
Thanks, Ann in TN

I'd like to know the chocolate filling.

My dear gm used to make these with the apricot or peach filling, then she would make the chocolate ones for me.

I know she used cocoa, sugar and evaporated milk. I don't know what else...Can anybody help me there?

yes, you can use canned filling. Just use a heaping tablespoon in each pie

Do you chop or cook the apples before putting them inside the dough?

Ever add any cinnamon to the filling?
My DH loves fried pies but asked if they could be baked instead.

The Amish around where I live bake theirs and they are very tasty with a flaky crust. Yumm

Sounds and looks so Goooooooooood!!! I went apple picking Friday at a local farm in Mass. I picket twenty pounds of apples. After my DH and I finishes my "Homestyle Apple Pie" which has three pounds of apples and one cup chopped dried apricots, I'll try the fried apple pie.
