I like the purple but not with dots - when the pink is next to the blocks they sort of flow out into the sashing. If you had a narrow purple marble & then the pink that would be great. IMHO

If you look at the eye of the needle, the edges of the right side of the eye are slightly flared out. The other side has straight edges making it tighter to thread.
