Good morning -

I have found that my "really big piece" of MM Nautical is, in reality, a measly 3 yards and not big enough for a backing. Especially for the 2 quilts it's supposed to cover. :)

I love the way their quilt looks, but all that folding and finger-pressing would use up too much of the remaining “tread” I have left on my finger joints. There has to be a gentler way to get there....

If you measure the seam allowance and it seems ok, maybe you're not pressing correctly. That can affect the size of the block. Are your seams lying nice and flat?
