If I want something quilt related I have to be very specific or they don't want to get the wrong thing. Usually my DH says "just order it and I'll wrap it okay?" Once I saw the EPP Accuquit Qube on sale for $159. (Normally $300+) so I ordered it and said, "You just bought my Christmas present." I think it was in August or September, but I put it away and he wrapped it for Christmas. I love it! At 70 I am not really wanting something - much prefer to spend the time and money with family and friends. Good food and good times together.

[QUOTE=Iceblossom;8667155]I know it sounds kind of... well something... but I am hoping for enough vision to use my already accumulated stuff!
I 100% understand! I have two inherited eye conditions that can lead to blindness and, unfortunately, I'm getting closer to it. I can still drive, but dread my next Dr appt!

Everytime I buy an expensive item I want, I say I bought my Birthday, Mother's Day, Anniversary, Valentines, Christmas (which ever is closest) present. One day my husband said haven't you had four birthdays this year? LOL

That being said, Ice Blossom, being able to see well enough to quilt is much better than me having a drama-free Christmas. I hope your vision comes back with gusto!

ibex94, I make ham and pea soup for my hubby's work every year. I send it with some nice crusty bread. rolls. The guys just love it and ask when they haven't gotten it yet. Now hubby has three stores to manage and I make for all of them. I know first-hand what peas in a blender looks like. LOL!
