I'm going to give this a try. Went through my patterns last night and found a cat with tie and collar. 12 1/2x24 1/2 so should work well. I have over 100 different cat fabrics so that will be fun. Too bad the instructions aren't stellar.

Time will be my issue. Wish me luck.

Well for the life of me...I don't have the "add a photo" icon anywhere! Have a round robin medallion that I was going to share...maybe tomorrow. Tried to upload it, and it failed...drats!

The only way I am able to upload a photo Is to "Go Advanced" and Then go down to manage attachment, select your jpg picture & upload.

Well here are the fabrics I am planning to use...I am hoping I can get a little more of the flower fabric. I'll check next week when I am in town.

I have enjoyed seeing what others are planning to use for their centers. I found a couple on quilterscache.com that I like and can alter to make rectangles: http://quilterscache.com/I/IrisesandLionsBlock.html and http://www.quilterscache.com/D/DeweyBlockBlock.html

oooooh that is going to be gorgeous.. wondering if you want one more light or bright fabric for contrast in there? something that pops in each round? can't wait to see what center you chose. I am so much in love with batiks not so grand at making things with them.. especially when I mix them with regular quilt fabric ugh! I suck at that!

Carriem: I have to agree, that the Irises & lions block would just be beautiful. I may even make one myself.

Thanks ladies...I keep going back to the Irises and Lions block too! I just have to decide on a border for the top and bottom that would look right since I really want a rectangle quilt. Any suggestions??

Elisabrat--I think you're right a couple more lighter colors might be a good idea. I will stop at the LQS next week and see what I can find.

You don't have to make it a rectangle now. You could do that with the first border we put on. Just do that border double on the top and bottom. I haven't done one of these but I have been looking at A LOT of pictures.
