Prayers out to Shea! Sounds like she has been through a LOT!! Never heard of what she has, sounds terrible.
I'm thinking that if I get someone from southwest of me I will have the perfect "local" gift to send. The leaves are turning around here and the color is just brilliant!! LOL We are going north for the weekend and I think the color will be stupendous. At any rate, I know of 2 quilt shows in the area and I plan on getting to at least one of them!!
I don't remember getting a trick or treater at our house in the 30 years we lived there. DH was really excited that he could pass out candy this year, then I told him that the community's tradition was for everyone to bring their candy down to the club house and pass it out there. I wonder how "written in blood" that policy is?! My DGD has talked of nothing else except decorating my place. Says we are gonna have the scariest house ever!
K, I was reading your post and it reminded me of something that happened a Loooong time ago. My mom and I were headed to DH's grandparents house for my bridal shower, there was a little zoo down one of the back roads in our very rural area, and it was not uncommon to take that road, even though it was gravel. Anyway, we got just past the "zoo" and there was a monkey in the road. Sooooo, I stopped the car and opened the door. Don't ask me why. Anyway, the monkey jumped in. My mom jumped out, so did I. So here we are standing in the middle of the road with both car doors open and a monkey in the back seat. Well, we must have scarred that poor animal half silly, cause after he bit the flashcubes for my camera (remember those?), he jumped out and ran accross the field!!! We went back to find someone to report the escapee to, and when we returned found the monkey up the road playing catch with some kids in their front yard. Now, that's a MONKEY story!! And it is true. I think I'll pass on the monkey's, thank you.

Oh, Susan, what a great companion you have there. Such a little cutie pie, but I'll bet he's a hard worker, as well. Have fun training with him.

Onalee, that is the funniest monkey story ever! I just wish I could have seen it ... back in the day when I had a stronger bladder and wouldn't have had difficulties while laughing my posterior off!

I haven't read all of the post, but has anyone heard from Lori? Has she said that the names would be late? I worry that something is not well with her.

Hi swappers, just got my name from Lori and 1st clue is she is a regular on the swap thread.

Can I also send out a message to whoever gets my name. Please DO NOT send priority, it costs a fortune, and although it may mean the package comes a bit quicker, even ordinary mail usually only takes on average 10 days so if posted by earlier deadline the package usually is here by 20th of month.

I feel really guilty when I see the postage that has been paid using priority so to whoever gets my name standard mail is OKAY.

Thanks for all of the well wishes. I am getting along well with Meadow the trainer said today that I am leaps and bounds ahead of anyone that she has ever trained. So we maybe done earlier than she thought. We are planning a graduation ceremony for October 20th (this is the of my 5th wedding anniversary as well) there will an opportunity for the community to come out and get to meet meadow and myself. If anyone is interested in Supporting Occupaws on my behalf they are always accepting donations. Just PM me and I would be happy to send you the link

So glad to hear that names are going out. Cant wait to get mine. To all those who are having troubles, prayers and good wishes going out to you. Susan, congrats on the progress with training and Meadow is a cutie.

To whomever receives my name there is one thing that I forgot to put on my list. I really could use an address book. Have looked at all the local stores here in Podunk and no luck.
