I will be completing a quilt to raffle at our WRAAF (Women's Royal Australian Air Force) 60th Anniversary reunion to be held the last weekend in January next year.

I have four great grandchildren expected from late January until about August I think. Definitely baby quilts, a purse, then I'll be thinking birthday gifts & next Christmas. This family could start a small community of its own! Good grief!! LOL!

I have 3 projects in my head that I want to start..a depression quilt block quilt for my mother and try to somehow put religious cotton panel images inside the block. I just found out I am going to be a grandmother for the first time..soo I will be busy making things for the little one. I also want to start a quilt for my bed with batik fabrics...not sure which one I will start..Blessings and Merry Christmas to you!

I want to get ahead of myself or should I say catch up on what Christmas things I didn't get done that I wanted to do...

Perhaps if I start right in after these holidays, I might be ready for 2011.....

There's catching up on the baptismal bibs I make for the church; a stack of finished quilt tops that need to become quilts; mending; cleaning/organizing; a graduation quilt for DGS(2012); and then it'll be Christmas again!

TheGypsy, what's a "Depression Block"?

I would like to make a memory quilt for my dad also. How do you get the pictures on the fabric?

Once xmas is over I am going to draw out some patterns for Saint Patties day, Valintines day and Easter for appliqueing. Just going to make them for simple projects like pot holders, table runners, greeting cards and wall quilts. But first going to take a week brake from sewing.

For the first time in about five years of quilting for clients, I should actually have time after Christmas to quilt my own quilts that have been piling up in a bin under the longarm machine - about 19 of them. I am determined to whittle away at my UFO pile (about 18 partially sewn projects) and get my 25 shoeboxes of scraps organized, sorted, and cut into useable pieces. I have also been dreaming about my next couple of quilts, a 10-minute block quilt and a crazy-patch using upholstery samples... I really can't decide where to start!
