I want to be part of the group, but not the competition.

Hi all, Have so many new and previous members signing up I love it. The more folks we have the more info to share and the more support we can give those who need it.
I got on the scale this morning and my weight is 157.5 yes I only lost .5 lbs in July. I am within spitting distance of my personal goal( just 22 more pounds) these will be the hardest. Went on a 2.5 mile walk early this morning and even then I was dripping from head to toe. The ankle is almost good as new so happy for that.
Logged in what I have eaten and will try my very best to keep this up all month.
I AM LOSING

i am on "my fitness pal",where i got the ticker.

i started my food diary and the blog that they have available.

i give you all alot of credit if your going outside to walk..the weather in michigan is nasty hot and humid. starting to feel like i am in texas! yikees! just be smart..make yourself one of those neck coolers, and take water and drink it. so dangerous!

now, something quick cool and tasty for dinner. i made spaghetti salad yesterday...maybe throw a chicken piece in with it and call it dinner!

It is a great site. It has so much free stuff. Have you set up a "my page" yet?

This is mine: http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage.asp

I still don't really know how to get around the site well. I sort of stumble along clicking on what might be what I'm looking for.

When I'm diligent I know I can lose the weight, I just have a committment problem. I can't stay committed to being healthy.

I want to part of the support but not the fabric competition.

Now that I'm back on track, I won't be able to lose more then 5 pounds a month-and that will be a really good month. It's just in the beginning when I've let everything go to pot that I can lose 10 pounds in a month.

Oh, and I'm still getting fabric in the mail from winning June. Yeah! 2 more little surprises came today.

This is my first time to enter the weight loss adventure but I have needed an incentive and to have some fun.

Wow! I love all the comments and the newbies. Welcome everybody!

We all chat back and forth here on the thread. The thread it will last all month.

I started out well today.

If you are inclined to journal, I try to post a topic for the day. Sometimes it ends up being for the week, depending on how my week is going ;-)

That is a very good idea! Hope you don't mind but I think I will do the same. I put it on a postie on my computer so I have to look at it everyday!
