I love the vegie tray idea! Thanks!

I think I may still have one of those in my basement! I will have to find it and clean it up!

The wedge-shaped rubber kind that holds the door open.

I buy the large ones, they come 2 to the pack and I even found some in white at Dollar Tree. Place them under the back of your machine, about 2" from each end)to tilt it forward at a more ergonomically correct angle. Cuts down on shoulder fatigure and I can still use my cabinet insert around my machine. They always go to class with me because classroom tables are never at cabinet height.

My favorite tool is a pair of long neck tweezers. I use it for threading my machine needle since I don't know how to use the one already on the machine and to tuck corners for a point. I use it to hold down the very end of my fabric so I don't run over my fingers and when the thread breaks I pull the broken thread near the part of the machine I can't reach. I also pick the lint near the upper part of the needle and I am sure eventually I will find more uses for it. But when I set up my machine, my tweezers and my snipper scisors are nearby.

I am going to look for one of these at a garages sale or thrift shop. I can see I will need to use one of the spots for my Dove chocolates! Great idea

I cut an old computer mouse pad into a 3" wide strip that I put in front of my machine - just beyond working area - as a pin cushion. Easy to remove pins & just stab them at the pad without looking while I'm piecing something complicated enough to need pinning. My seam ripper lives there, too.

Hmmm...handiest little tool???? I think that would be my around-the-neck doo-hitchy thingie that allows my small scissors to hang where I can find them. I have a habit of putting them down and then not remembering where I put them!! I can't sew without it!!

I have a pin cushion that slips around my wrist so it is right where I need it at all times when I sew.
