And, even though I'm more of a yellow person, I really think the dark blue cornerstones are perfect!

OMGoodness! Teen - I've been quietly awaiting your reveal for weeks and must tell you that your Sylvia is absolutely gorgeous! I really like everything about it - from your fabric choices, the blue cornerstones, the delicate yellow border and perfectly placed floral applique border.. It's just a stunning quilt top and I can't imagine the final finish once quilted with final binding. Your precision is amazing

Oh wow....such lovely comments to wake up to. Thank you, so much, ladies. You are all so sweet, truly. Fingers crossed the quilting turns out nice. She's square, the borders aren't wavy, and she lays flat. Phew!! With 8" borders, I was bit worried. I can't wait to get the binding on this thing. It's all ready to go.

Anael....I'll post a closeup of applique today.

Dotty...I hope you are healing well! Good to hear from you..

Teen, your SBS is beautiful!! I love your final borders. Just perfect without competing. And, your yellow roses are lovely. I can almost imagine the sweet smell they give off.

MacyBaby, your garden pictures are beautiful. I'm sure whoever bought your house back then was totally in love with all your work and benefited greatly. I still hope they are enjoying it.

NZquilter, I love the idea of a R/W/B SBS. I look forward to seeing your pictures and cheering you on.

DonnaPea, a couple more great blocks. I look forward to more photos. I always enjoy seeing what scarps you'll use next.

Close-up of applique. Used mono-poly clear on light colors, and smoke on dark colors. I didn't have the size 60 needle or you wouldn't be able to see needle holes. I ended up using size 70, which is ok.

I promised you a few photos from today's ride with my brother. Here they are

This is the edge of the Veluwe (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Veluwe). Really, litteraly because on the other side of the road the landscape looks like this:

    Flat as a pancake hahaha

    Another Castle

    and a church

This we saw and had to take a photo. It looks like the photo is tilted but it isn't. The landscape is sloping. It looks like the water is going upwards but that also isn't so. It just looks that way because of the landscape. Fascinating, isn't it?
We biked about 84 kilometers and we had a really great day!

beautiful pics, Anael.... The church is amazing. I love how you framed it with the tree limb. Wonderful eye for photography. My favorite thing to do when traveling is wander around old and majestic churches when we come upon them....and cemetaries. Kinda morbid about cemetaries but I love history. And the water spill is very cool. Just beautiful in your country.
