Thank you ladies for all the brainstorming on variations as well as the justifications and reasoning. This is my final (?) thought - pretty much all Bonnie's layout with the exception of the brown parallelograms which will be constant. I just haven't decided upon which color to use for the corner stones - the dark brown or peach/orange. Now my goal is to set up kits and finish 5 blocks per day.
It certainly has been a journey with many miles to go for me, but seeing everyone's creations has made the journey enjoyable.

Very nice, Carol! I think your pieced brown sashings are going to work better than the solid brown... good choice! If it were me, I'd do a contrast cornerstone, like either the peach or blue. Just my opinion.

Now that looks lovely, Carol! The brown sets it so nicely.

Auntjo, I love how yours is looking. And I enjoy looking at your other projects on the design wall too

Well, I finished Clue 7 and put together 1 block. I didn’t go scrappy, I pulled a lot of fabric from my stash, but seem to use only 1 or 2 different colors for each clue. That may be a problem. But, I’ll have to wait and see what it looks like as I finish more blocks. I only did half size. I will work on more blocks Sunday and Monday. My picture is blurry. The last pic I took with my phone and reduced size turned out blurry also.

Here’s a pic with sashing placed next to block. It’s a bit bigger photo.

    D. Henson, I like what you have here! I don't think a lack of scrappiness will be an issue. I've seen some very nice non scrappy ORL, and the secondary sometimes shows up better because of it.
