Yes when i was a teenager we had a day to wash clothes aaaa hung them out to dry , then put these caps in a drink bottle with water, sprinkled them crumpled them up damp put them in a pillow case then into freezer and ironed them nex t day sometimes we would have two days of ironing your clothes ironed easier and was so neat, anybody else do this ??????

Yes, used those to sprinkle clothes before ironing. Also, sprinkled clothes and put in fridge and ironed later. I have Mama's old irons that were heated on a stove. Not electric.

I remember using them to sprinkle the clothes while ironing, but not particularly the bottle. Not to date myself, but I also remember being paid the grand price of a nickel per ironed piece of clothing to earn my spending money.

Oh my gosh! They are sprinkler tops for bottles to sprinkle the clothes before you iron them. Thank goodness they are rare! Who wants to iron?! Pressing is another thing but ironing! I remember (boy am I dating myself) my mother "sprinkling" the laundry and rolling it up in a ball and refrigerating it because she didn't have time to iron at the time. My goodness! The memories are flooding back!
