Well, ladies, I just read this thread for the first time and I enjoyed looking at all of your chicken blocks! Looks like you are all having a really good time. Each chicken block is so unique and cute!!! I cannot wait to see the quilts you all make with your blocks.

My goal is to get my next 12 blocks cut today. I am doing red and white polka dots and embroidered chicken centers. How is everyone doing on theirs?

Ok, how many of us are there? I have a sick obsession with this swap in which I have decided that I want one from everyone, which means I am making lots of blocks! lol! (Mine are all fussy cut/pieced) I am aiming for 36. Is this around the right number? The feathers really ARE flying here...!

Blue - right now there are 19 participants...so, you will get some doubles for sure if you do 36.

I like doubles, but I'll just send 24 then. :) I've already made 24- but have found a cute pattern and adorable fabric. We'll see.

Hi, Esqmommy and all the other chicken-lovers .. I have been watching and trying NOT to join up but I saw some chicken fabric that I fell in love with, and being a fellow chicken-lover myself, I would love to join the swap, if you will have me. I would like to make 6 pieced blocks, and think it will be the "On the Oregon Trail" from the Quilters Cache - in honor of my pet chicken "Bok-Bok" who has free-range rights here (like a cat with 9 lives). I love the work I have seen here and hope I can measure up!

Okay, I have my machine back now. Is it too late to join the chickens? I'd like to sign up for 12 blocks if it's not too late. Sounds like a fun swap, but I had to make sure I'd have my machine before I jumped in.
