I have a place for the threads put my hand over it and let go of thread but when I move my hand they fall on the floor

I have a little basket under my table on top of a big storage container that is convenient, but if I am in the middle of a sewing project, I won't focus too much on the thread scraps, and attempt to throw them in the basket, but won't worry to much about it until I am finished sewing. To me some scraps and thread on the floor is the mark of a sewer like flour on a cabinet is to a chef. lol.....

I save my threads and use them on landscape art quilts.

Fabric scraps go in the compost (talking really skinny or small), threads go to a friend who does felting, most scraps are tossed in the greatly overflowing bin behind me, and now that I know people actually like selvedges, those go in another pile.

I have 5 trash cans in my sewing room, and I am careful to use them. However, I still manage to cover myself and the floor with threads and clippings (sigh).

I have a thread catcher I made, and also a trash can under my sewing table - depending on the thread size or clipping also when I need to empty my thread catcher...

No I have a bag to put them in. My cat kept trying to eat them & I understood that it is not good for them.
