I empathize with you, LogCabin82, having to fix the doll. My eldest son, just recently 40, asked me if I could fix his original teddy bear. Seems the grand girls were playing with it, rather roughly, and his head and arm are in danger of falling off! Hope I can do it well.
Your patriotic block for TG is lovely.

LogCabin, this must be a time for "best friend" surgery. A couple of weeks ago my oldest grand daughter asked me to "fix" her old pal Bob the Bunny. I suggested a complete medical consultation with an eye toward possible surgery to repair the results of a long life of loving play. After deep consideration, collection of additional stuffing and searching out faded pint sutures and specialty needles, I prepped Bob for surgery. He has long ears thus a surgical cap. Now he just needs to get the surgeon to finish her work and to then try a deep bath to return him something close to his original snuggly pink.
