One thing about the White treadles I didn't figure out until messing with mine is that there is a release lever/button on the front bed to unhook it from the cabinet and lift it forward/back to expose the bottom and the hinge screws. Very helpful if you are taking the machine out and stuffing parts into a small car. :)

I'm really good at starting projects, just need to finish some now! I'm all gung-ho about the embossed White, but I was going to work on my treadle base this weekend. Instead, I tore apart a motor, cleaned it up, and got it back together. No controller yet, so I have no idea if it works. :)
Took forever to get apart. Grime from 1931 makes great glue!
