I buy for my stash, seldom for a specific project. Only once was I disappointed with the quality of a piece of fabric, and the ebay seller refunded my money immediately. I now give her a good bit of business! Occasionally the colors aren't what I thought they would be, but that can be a happy accident.

I have bought quite a bit of fabric online and have only been unhappy a couple of times. These were flannel panels and when washed they were a mess!! I spend hours trying to straighten them and finally added a wide border and squared it up that way. Given that I paid LQS prices for the panels and I was on a deadline to finish, I just made do.
