At the Maine Quilt Show this summer, the price I was given for the 7700 was $2485 for the machine and the table - the big floor table not just the extension table.

Really? That's bad news as I'm still making up my mind, and likely to be doing so - and saving - for while yet, but the 6600 is top of my list. The 7700 has more than I want or need.

I paid $1999.00 for my 6600P in 2006. Worth every penny. Have no interest in the 7700.

As someone who works for a dealer, the price for the 7700 was set by Janome and the dealers were told no price dealing unless they were taking trade-ins. Selling the 7700 for less than the set price put dealerships at risk with the company. Now that the 12000 is coming out October 1, the 7700 will probably be packaged with extras to move them.

I recently bought the 7700 for $1900 and no tax. It was brand new in box. I found it at a hole in the wall vacuum store. The chance I took was that I really don't expect much dealer support. If you buy one at a quilt show how much dealer support are you going to get anyways, esp. if the dealer is from far away? The machine was brand new in box. Warranty for a year. The dealer never even told me to register online and receive the other 1/4" foot. So far so good.

I paid 1175.00 for my 6600 last Dec. Got the table, 1/4" accufeed foot and plate with it. Never plugged in the footpedal. Love the start stop button
