Happy New Year to all and .... upward and onward. I was a late joiner last year due to a broken arm that didn't let me do anything till May.... didn't accomplish one a month but did get some UFOs done.... Yeah. So, I'm jumping on the bandwagon again this year. I really don't have many UFOs this year, thanks to last year. But, the ones I do have will take me some time to finish. I find it best to make a public declaration... it keeps me honest. Here goes....
My daughter's cathedral window quilt-- hope to finish in a couple of months.
My Birds in the Air quilt- it's on the quilting frame but I'm a slow hand quilter.
My One Block Wonder- that I started at a guild retreat 6 years ago.
My Block of the Month- from Block Central that I started maybe 6-7 years ago.

And, that's it!! I will be able to start a few of the quilts that I 'need' to get started to get a new UFO pile going.
I can get these done this year,..... I know I can.

I'm in, have a bookcase facing me when I sew....my projects to finish, some to start. So thanks for the "get going and get it done." Christmas, Easter, quilts, many bags, purses.

Happy New Year everyone! Let the UFO Finishes begin!!

I am looking forward to getting back into my quilting room after the holidays... In fact today I hope to do a tidy up and make some decisions as to which UFOs will go on my Q1 Finish List. The rest of my family heads back to school tomorrow so the normal routines will soon follow. How about we all post a pic of our current UFO in the sister thread and get things hopping over there?

Happy 2014 to everyone!!! What a wonderful beginning to the new year we have going here. Everyone is welcome in this group. It's a big train and lots of room.... tootttttttttt toooooooooooooootttttttt!!! Y'all just keep hopping on board.
One of my goals this year is to sort thru all the orphan blocks and go with fabrics I have collected and see if I can't put them together into something like a sampler. I have 2 smallish bins with these in and it's time for them to find life.
I also have some lovely large print fabrics that I want to make at least a couple BQ patterns with. These poor fabrics have been languishing for too long.
I have 4 flimsies that need layered and finished. They are for me, so last on the lists, LOL.

I'd love to, if someone points me to it. I haven't seen any sign of a sister thread yet.

Happy, healthy, and prosperous 2014 to you all.

I spent last night making a top from woven hearts that I put in a box a while back. Today I'll put borders on while DH watches his Cardinals in the Rose Bowl. I plan to be a frequent visitor on this thread this year.

I'm thinking this would be a great way to start 2014. I really want to finish the UFO's that I have because they keep me from starting projects that I really wanna start but feel GUILTY for starting yet another project. So.....finishes here I come. I hope I can figure out how to post my completions. I'm sure I'll get some help when the time comes. When I feel brave I will count them all up to see how many I have. That would defeat me before I even get started. HEHEHEHEHE!!!!!

This is terrific! I've got so many projects to complete I get overwhelmed. I think having this thread will help me focus. Today my #1 UFO is a set of placemats/napkins I promised my sis 2 yrs ago. When I tell another sis I'm getting ready to work on them she laughs!!! So today they're ready to cut out and stitch. The stitching is easy and will have decorative stitch on hems. I'll keep you posted. Again, thanks for this thread!! Jean

I like this idea but I'm not sure having only 3 UFOs makes me eligible... but I can be really good cheering others on!
Therefore, I will subscribe to this thread and help cheer for those who have many UFOs.

I'd LOVE to join you in this challenge.

Even though I've quilted and bound a lot of quilts for customers, my quilt tops remain just tops and some projects remain unfinished!

So this year my plan is to schedule MY quilt tops just like I do my customers' quilt tops!

I'll make a list this week and subscribe to this thread!
