It is a nice quilt, I just finished using the dark flowered fabric in a quilt. I would not change a thing. Instead of STD I would sew a 1/4inch from each of the seams. Did this on a baby quilt and liked how it looked. I do not see a thing wrong with it, I like your choice.

I've got one like that, I used it for the backing on a good quilt With the quilting it is very nice and I can live with it.

I think it is very sweet. As for quilting, I would SID the main blocks and do a stencil in each block - something with circles to offset the angularity. Then you could do a narrow tear-drop down the sashing. I would use monofilament or variegated thread.

Lay it on a bed for a couple of days and then see if you change your mind. I think it will give you a new perspective. It's very cute. :-)

It's amazing that you think this quilt isn't quite right! I love it. Once again, beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

Oh no that is not ugly, well to me at least. We all make quilts that do not look as we thought they would when we started to make them. Keep on quilting!

Use darker pink thread in washing and setting blocks and it will POP!

I think when you take it up off the dark floor you will see how pretty it really is. AND get it quilted. I think it is really pretty.

I think it's a beautiful quilt, soft and flowery. I wouldn't change a thing on it, and I wouldn't do anything that would alter its gentle character. I would quilt it in white or a very soft pink, probably with curves and swirls. I'm sorry I don't have any specific quilting ideas. I usually have mine done by a LAQ using a panto.
