My little 7 lbs doggie had it this summer. She is 11 yrs. I was told the same. We give her mostly kibbles for a decade now the same. Not sure what happened but we were told she will be prone to it now. Sigh...

My dog has a very sensitive stomach so I have to be very careful with what I feed her. My vet said homemade dog food was fine as long as I give her dog food with it to give her the vitamins etc she needs. Thankfully she loves veggies and rice with a little meat.
