    Skeat,
Can you post some of your Dear Jane blocks so I can look at them//

Sorry bebe that it's been awhile for me to get back to this...I am still figuring out where in space my pics go when I load them:))Be nice! these blocks are how I learned to quilt...no kidding. These are my for real first quilting anything blocks:))No one told me which way to start and as you can see, I never do anything the easy way. This is most of them...and, they are tucked away in a basket..maybe someday I will get back to them:))Skeat

Okay so far all the Dear Jane blocks I've seen so far look GREAT. I just got my book and OH BOY I don't know about this it just might be a coffee table book. Well, not really I know I need to get the software (don't feel like drafting out the blocks) and get my backing I was think muslin but thinking of going with fabric instead (to lazy to wash) since I have a harder time with soft fabric.

Just start with the simple blocks like the 9 patch and so on even thought u do not have CD. Do some of the abpique blocks but rember to cut ur background piece al leat 5 1/2 inches to give yoiu room to work on and and possible rqaveling of fab. If u are going to use muslin I suggest you buy a yard of quality and purchase at a quilt shop. A yard will go a long while. I know that Dear jane is a year(s) adventure and sometimes muslin stains yellows and such. Just my suggestions. Come play with us and make ur Dear Jane with us. If u need help PM me and we can exchange information.

According to Brenda Papdakis she has a saying that goes like this "done is better than perfect".
