Thanks for pointing it out, Princess. I remember it not so fondly. Decided to add buttons to help tie it down. 160+ buttons later I was ready to tear my hair out.

Congrats Martina. Did the buttons weigh the quilt down?

No idea, oksewglad, I couldn't get it handed off to the new owner quick enough.

I really like your quilt Martina; I would not have any hair left at all if those were buttons I had to sew on. What a trooper!
Well, because I like deals...and I like Connecting Threads I jumped off the wagon on purpose. (I hope I didn't knock anyone off with me). When CT has kits for 50% off I have a hard time not buying them. I buy because of the fabric not necessarily for the pattern. I spent about $60.00 dollars for some beautiful stuff and $23.00 for thread. I just liked the fabric, I don't know whether or not I like the pattern. I'll have to go back and see have much fabric I bought and what the style is. So...I'm not perfect ...I'm a quilter.

I'm really a beginner quilter. If you don't believe me just look at my quilts lol. So learning to shop my stash before travelling to the LQS is a great idea for me. I accidentally bought a drapery material at Walmart so Now I'll have to keep that until I'm experienced enough to do a mixed material project. And I'm collecting little bits and pieces that are left over and also ones that I thought would work with a project but don't.

That Connecting Threads sale is calling my name!! Have put a kit in my cart, but haven't gone further than that --- yet. I have so much fabric here in my home and also have a small stash in my summer place. I started working on a kit I pulled out of my ufo's, and I guess I'm feeling very self-righteous and that I've earned a new fabric buy. Sure won't make a dent in my stash that way. Hopefully I can just leave that kit in my cart and then, when the resolve kicks in, I can just remove it. Right!!!!

grmmyjo! You've got me giggling. Hang in there I know what you mean!
Hi Emma, glad you are back!
tkhooper; you are starting out with very good habits by shopping your stash first. Way to go.
What I'm trying to figure out is, why is buying fabric so much fun?
