"Weigh In"
#331
You ladies are ROCKIN'!! Look what's been accomplished so far...and it only gets better! The more you lose, the better you're going to feel, the more you'll move around, and the more you'll lose! (sound like a cycle? :) )
Jan...had another thought for those "eat alone" times...when I want something hot...the Campbell's Chunky soups...the kind that you don't add water to? You can heat up one of those for about 240 calories, depending on which kind it is...that and a half sandwich made with whole grain bread...yum!
The other thing I sometimes do is to have a bowl of hot cereal...for dinner...will make it with a teaspoon of vanilla, some cinnamon, sometimes will grate some apple into it, and about a tbsp of raisins or crasins.... just don't forget to get your vegies and fruits in! ;)

When I was single, I followed what I considered "the single woman's diet", which was soup, salad, cereal and sandwich. I rarely fixed anything at home other than what fit into those categories. I had no problem keeping my weight at a very slim and comfortable point. Fast forward to about 2 1/2 years ago, when I married my sweetheart, who definitely is a meat and potatoes kind of guy--add in many courses of steroids to control my lupus and voila!--you have a plump, but mostly happy woman. I would dearly love to go back to my previous diet, without being single... I have lately been doing the "cooking" and we've been slowly getting to that point. DH needs to lose weight too, and so we are working to cut the fat, and start exercising more. So far, no pounds lost, but with the walks we are taking, we do feel a tiny bit better. I know the weight loss will come as we stick to our plan. In the meantime, YAY!!! for those of you who have lost weight!! I applaud your efforts and appreciate the example.

Doing my weekly weigh in: 1 lb. loss this week. Grand total of 4 lbs. so far. Slow and steady wins the race. Exercised 6 days this week. Yippee! Completely forgot about my goal of not eating after 7pm. New goals for this week: revisit goals from last week.
Awesome job everyone! Keep plugging away! Lneal thanks for posting the grand total . . . that's so motivating!

Can I jump in here? I am a lifetime member of WW and lost almost 70 pounds, but...since starting a job requiring me to spend lots of time in the car, I have gained 35 pounds. So here I am. I recommitted to healthy eating at about 2 weeks ago and am down almost 4 pounds. Could use your encouragement.

Welcome to the "Plan" Nursie. You'd think we'd know some medical secrets or something to help us. I've learned more here and gotten more encouragement than all my yrs of nursing. We can do this!! Look at all the suggestions for eating after working all day and not feeling like cooking. They're great and I'm definitely trying them.
Thanks everyone!!

Rough week.
Off work as we were going to head North to see family. Snow at our destination and husband's job change caused us to stay home. I was still off work and managed to quilt more but I also gained 1 pound. It could have been much worse.
Will try better next week as I will be back to work.
