I received my blocks from Roberto....Thanks they're lovely! I haven't had a chance to take a picture of them yet. I decided on my last day off to go down to see Obie the 77 lbs. dachshund. He has lost 50# in the last year and he was adorable. His page on Facebook is https://www.facebook.com/BiggestLoserDoxieEdition . I have a soft spot for doxies as I have one named String Bean. He's my baby. Brat wanted puppy pics, so here's mine.

Sauki1, I'm jealous, Roberto was my partner last month and he is one of the kindest, nicest and talentedest (I think I invented a new word) people I have had the pleasure of meeting in ciber space. Lucky you. And love your little guy, you can tell he's from California where they set the trendy styles, he is stylin'!

I started my partners block yesterday, she wants a string block made with floral fabrics. I discovered I don't have a lot of floral fabrics but mustered up enough to get started. This is a first for me so I hope I do a good job for her. Anybody have any suggestions for making it perfect?

I should be able to start on my partner's block this weekend. I will also start on the side swap blocks. The first part of the month is always hectic at work so I had pre-warned them it would be later in the month. Just wanted to give them an up date .

I sent my partner a PM yesterday letting her know that I haven't forgotton her. I have been very sick and now starting to get over "it", what ever "it" was. I think I will cut her block out today and sew it tomorrow. I have to have my hands busy, sick or not, so I have been either knitting or crocheting. Right now I am working on a rectangle grannie out of my leftover yarns. It's simple, I don't have to read a pattern or even think about what I am doing, I can stop in the middle and not lose my place cause there is no place to lose..... what more can a person ask for?
    Have a great day everybody!

    likethedod,
One of your blocks is finished. The second I have reworked several times, put it aside for a couple of days to do less "challenging" blocks.
