Me too, many times. Keep it raised as much as possible and put an ice bag, or pack of frozen peas on it for 20 minutes a time several times a day will help a lot.

I broke my 2nd toe on a cruise, got home and the Dr x-rayed it at least 3 different times (to make sure it was healing properly). Luckily I have good insurance! Taping it to the next toe is a must to heal straight.

Thanks for this topic. I also ..maybe...broke my center toe. That happened several mos ago & it still aches off & one.The reason I didn't see Dr is because he'd say "it's either broke, or it's arthritis".

I have places....bumps.... on top of both feet with arthritis.....so who knows. Will try a couple suggestions in this thread.

It will take a while but it will heal over time. Baby yourself for a while.

Been there; done that! You should have done the ice routine when it happened - don't know if will help now. I've heard that nothing can be done with a broken little toe, but I make sure the toe heals in the position that I want it to - even if you have to tape it.

Hey, girl. I've been there, done that!!! I broke 1 (can't remember which) in my house, going around barefoot. It will turn all kind of beautiful colors! My kids said "that's what U get for going barefoot all the time". But it does heal!!!! Nothing can really be done but wearing the 'in style' blue boot.

I did that to my left pinkie toe, running out of my room to grab a toy for my infant son. He must have only been a couple months and I was trying to grab a shower or something. It was the first week of January, and I couldn't comfortably wear tennis shoes until May. No lie.

I just broke a couple of my toes about 2 weeks ago. I did not go and get a X-ray. There is nothing they can do for broken toes. I just kept putting ice on it. Anyway my toes are still sore and they probably will be for awhile. Good luck

My toe was dislocated - and the doctor got it in alignment again.

After that, it was taped to other toes and then I wore the bootie. (I'd like to get another one - it was very comfortable.)
