I use mine almost every day. I didn't know I needed one or wanted one until my husband got it as a Christmas gift last year. I use it for beautiful motifs on the veils I make for a living, decorate t-shirts, mug rugs (see photos in the August Secret Pal Swap), tea towels, quilts, pillow cases, aprons, you name it. I just love it. I think the best bargains are at Oregon Patchworks. They have specials every week and lots of free samples.

Are we married to the same man? Years ago when I started sewing again and hubby bought me a sewing machine for my birthday he tried to talk me into an embroidery machine and I told him it wouldn't get much use. A few months ago I was talking about the label I needed to have made for the quilt I'm working on and he went out and bought me an embroidery machine. Not the machine I would have gotten had it been me doing the shopping, but there it is. So far I've made an initial "how does it work" sample, and a name badge for a QB meet and greet.

I need to make that label soon ... quilting is almost finished :)

So other than quilt labels I know he wants me to make our trade show shirts - which means I need to have our logo digitized.

All kinds of things from embroidered towels, clothing, curtains, pillows, and now embroidered in the hoop quilts (lots of fun). I love combining my sewing with the embroidery. Here are a few recent items and I'll bet you would really enjoy using an embroidery machine!

Embroidery library? A website or on the forum?
http://www.emblibrary.com/EL/default.aspx It's a wonderful website for embroidery designs. On the right is a link to the "Stitcher's Showcase."

There are lots of things you can do with an embroidery machine. I have made quilts with embroidered blocks:

It's nice to make embroidered kitchen towels as gifts for people and you can embroider t-shirts and sweatshirts.

I love to make pictures: Here's a couple:
