So very, very wonderful of her to acknowledge and you for you generosity and love.

The love of quilters is in the giving, but it certainly does warm the heart when one is shown appreciation. That is such a beautiful note which from its wording is given from the heart with love. How blessed everyone is in this situation. MIL certainly is smiling, I'm sure.

What a wonderful gesture of love! I hope you put an appropriate label on the back, giving the quilt's history! In future years, that will make the quilt even more precious.

Brought tears to my eyes too. Such a labor of love! I'm working on a project to finish some quilts for a lady whose mother passed about a year ago. I feel I have quite a challenge to finish them well. I didn't know the mother, so I don't know how she would have finished them, but her tops are very "scrappy", so I think they just need borders and, of course, hand quilting.

What a nice note of appreciation you received. Kind of answers the question I have had about finishing a quilt my mom left unfinished. Guess I will get busy right after Christmas and get it done. Thank you for posting this.

You got the best gift ever. Someone who knows nothing about how much work goes into making that quilt and that you finished it so he could get the gift from grandma was extra special. he will love it all his life and so will the others that you are finishing for her. she is probably looking down and helping you.
