Sorry to say that you're no different from most of us, it is meant to be a work room and you have plenty of that going on. My daughter would have fits if she had to work in mine but then I produce more quilts than she thinks about making! The only thing I don't like is that your room is square and bigger than mine.

I think both statements are true. I don't have enough time to keep the scraps and threads off the floor and the top of the cutting table and the sewing table. I'm too excited about putting the cut up fabric back together.

That's my story, and I am sticking to it! Ha! Ha!

As for your "messy" sewing room: I can still see clean, bare floor. This room is lived-in and loved. It's NOT messy!
Hear! Hear! to these quotes and I love your own motto youngduncan.

Here's an up date of the growing piles of scrappocolyps.

I can do this! the latest pictures. I am farther along than they show.

This has been fun so far. I have to thank the "organizers" out there for giving me the incentive.

Your room looks very inviting. I Like the blocks you have made.

All the pinks and pastels in your lights give a unique look to them, not just the usual lights. Lovely!

I noticed sizes on your first picture of the clam shells (hard to believe it, it seems you actually wrote black marker on the fabric?), but it was a bit hard to read all of them. Could you post the cutting sizes you are using please? I certainly can experiment, but your blocks are coming out square in your second picture showing your progress with them and your sizes seem a good size for the types of scrap strips I have. Maybe you could share the sizes and that would save me time. :-) I don't know if I'll make it, but I like to keep notes.

My sewing room looks about the same. It is the messiest room in the house but the most fun room

I have a path to my sewing machine and that is about it. The rest is dog beds, scraps and fabric from floor to ceiling.
I am embarrassed but do not want to take the time to sort things out. I would rather sew and quilt.
