I have some cotton pieces from my Mom's fabrics. I think they are mostly from the 80's. Just after she died I gave away several large trash bags of fabrics, mostly knits, but I did keep the cottons.

Of my own "buys" I have fabric from the early 1980s, I have some "vintage" finds from the 1960s and 1970s. I also have a lot of linens, laces and embroidery pieces from my Nan and Great Gran, probably 1920/30s. I plan on cutting up a lot of the linens as there are some embroideries/lace worth salvaging, though some of the sections have stains/tears or are damaged beyond reasonable repair.

I have some pieces of Amana Calico from the Amana Colonies that are well over 100 years old. I had enough to put a little piece on each of my grandchildren's quilt and for my husband's quilt because it was his aunt's fabric. I also have some more bits and pieces that I will use down the way, perhaps applique' it in a special spot on a family quilt. Edie

I still have some scraps of tiny calico prints that I bought in the 80's to use as wallpaper in my dollhouse... (back before scrapbook papers existed...)
I started buying quilt fabric in the early 90's but didn't start quilting till around 97....

I have a length of orange knit was was going to be a Halloween pumpkin but never made it, a piece of yellow flannel that would have been a nightie & a nice piece of stretch terry from when we wore those strapless rompers (yikes!!!! good thing I was skinny minnie back then! :-P ) ah the 80's gotta love them! So, what's your oldest????

Personal fabric - about 35 years old.
From my mom - nearly 60 years old (some of it. more from the 60's though)
from a friend - flour sacks from the 40's
So I guess I am supplied for a while!
