I never repeat the same pattern. There are so many techniques I want to learn,

I make a new pattern that teaches me a new technique - however, I also then make bargello and colourwash quilts from the scraps - so I make a lot of variations of those.

I only use a pattern twice if I truly loved it. I love new projects and new blocks. Hard for me to repeat something I"ve already done.

Holice, I love your pattern on the page. Is that a block or a lay out. If its a quilt block can you share?

I enjoy the challenge of a new pattern. Haven't repeated one ever. Have sooo many new designs and techniques on my "to do" list.

I have a few I might repeat, but for the most part all are different

I think the only time I did the same pattern was in 99 for the twins but they were even slightly different fbecause their names were on them. I have never actually followed a pattern step by step so I would have to say I never do the same one over.

Yes , but for the most part I make up my own patterns due to the cost of patterns. I want to buy fabric for my quilts more then a pattern.

I always keep my patterns but so far have never done the same one twice. I like the challange of something completely new every time. :)
