What do you carry your stuff in?

I went to JoAnn's and they have cloth carriers that have plastic, zipped pockets, another area for pencils, scissors, etc. I have made a queen sized quilt using this and it is only about 8 x 5 inches and about 5 inches depth. In the plastic, zipped pockets I put my triangles, another my squares, etc. Then I hand piece as I go. When I'm home I refill it for my next outing. It works great, and is small

How about a "Fat Max" from Stanley? Found at Home Depots. Come in at least 2 sizes and probably more by now. Very manly, but I've used them for my stamp business and scrapbooking! They have two wheels on them for pulling and lots can fit, if need be (in the big one anyway!)

Hey David:0) I have a tool box that my husband gave me lol, but I'm thinking that maybe a tackle box with the smaller spaces might be better??? Actually I keep some of my stuff there even if I'm not needing to carry it out with me. Sarah

As I am new to quilting I was wondering....What do you use to carry your stuff around in? My wife does not drive, so on days like tomrrow where she only works a few hours I will drive her and then hang around town, I either do errands, laundry shopping ect. or go to the library. Now I have 150 3 1/2" blocks cut, marked with 1/4" allowance and ready to sew. I don't want to just throw everything in a bag. I'd like something nice, kinda smal but big enough to carry my blocks, scissors, pin, needles.....well you all know what I need to carry LOL

A while ago i got a clear plastic project runway sewing box from joannes, bought it becouse it was clear. Anything clear to store tools etc in are a good thing to me so at a glance i can tell if something is there or not without opening and having to look around.

Potato chip buckets, plastic cookie containers, Rolykits (see on e-bay), tool boxes, cookie tins, milk crates, a picnic basket, cardboard boxes, ziploc bags, etc. etc. Lots of possibilities. Depends on whether you want to spend money or take advantage of what is free and laying around the house.

I put the small stuff in tackle boxes and tool boxes. Then I stack everything into a suitcase that has a handle and wheels. My machines go the same way - I have a trolley for each of them, with the notions for each going into the side pockets.
