My DH and I got a long-hair Chihuahua (Skipper)when he was only 3 weeks old and swore that he would be our "one and only"...DD and her DH (military) were transferred to Germany. They had just gotten a smooth Chihuahua puppy and talked us into taking him (Rowdy..name fits him). Skipper was 7 years old at the time. Then, a neighbor had a Chihuahua/mix? and didn't take care of her at all...left her outside in VERY cold weather...outside in VERY hot weather with no water/food for sometimes a couple of days at a time. Sooooo, I stole her...yep, really did. About a month later DH asked them if they realized that we had their dog and their reply was "yes, we didn't want her anyway and were hoping she would find a new home." She is adorable and extremely loving....they don't know what they lost!

I am amazed that anyone would train dogs to pee on something in the house...

How beautiful they are and how good of you to take care of their needs. I have 8 chihuahua babies and they use a wee wee pad when they can't go out.

Your Iggies are precious and what great jackets. Did you use a commercial pattern or just make one up?

What a great person you are to care for those fur babies... tell me, do they use the potty pads? If so, how did you get them to use?
We have 5 dogs here and yes, they are inside and spoiled. One travels with me when I take a job and I would love her to use a pad when I am not home... great job.
