Here is another machine that was a rescue. It is now one I keep around when I want to sew something.
    and another poem:
Grandma nearly beat it to death making dresses,
hemming overalls and fixing torn up messes
    That machine went down kickin'
    and came back up tickin'
and someone like me it still blesses.

Kathy, I am feeling a lot better. Next week I have to go back to 24/7 care for my mother. She is 89 and needing a bit of care. I am hoping when I get to where I can lift again I'll be able to do more with my machines. Mom loves to watch me mess with them. I had a Standard sewing machine with a spider that was gifted to me to make chain stitches and she LOVED using it she had one in college and she remembered how to use it. She also sewed the gathers for some little dresses for the DGDs. Next week I am thinking I'm going to take all of the buttonholers over there and clean and grease them while she watches. At least they don't weigh much and I can lift them - well one at a time... Then I can put the button holes in the little dresses. My sister has been taking care of Mom while I've been recovering from some surgery.

Everyone can use a laugh. - Boy did I feel stupid.
I was putting a Clone back in it's case and needed to put the plug end back on. I had it all tight and back on when I noticed what I had done. One wire, two plugs. DOH!!!

That is seriously impressive. I can't even figure out how you'd do it, but I like it.
