I don't have any...I just cannot make myself start a new project until I finish the old...I know, I'm weird...I have tried to have a UFO for UFO Friday at our guild...but the closest I have come is to have the binding to stitch on the current project. One of my quirks, I guess.

Pretty much the quilt room and the dinning room. Those that I am in the middle of finnishing are in the dinning room.
However several family members are comimg from out of state this weekend so I have to get cleaning.
Sorry, I do not have a system. The tops are just folded and sitting on a desk.

In a brown paper bag in the back of the closet??? Seriously, I package up everything and put it in a container for the size, and look at it occasionally to decide if I want to work on it yet. If not, it remains in the container until I do want to work on it.

I use the large plastic containers used for green salads from the grocery store produce area for containing my quilts in the cut-out stage. Just like you, I have "lost" UFOs, so now I make myself finish at least the top before I move on. I just have such a hard time going back to a UFO so I'm trying really hard not to make any more of them!

I have one of those stacked wire basket units for a closet and I put the project fabrics/pattern, etc in a drawer that way it can be seen and not forgotten about. It has 8 baskets that are only 4" deep and are 24X30. I can only purchase fabrics for a new project when a basket becomes available. That's the rule! I used to have a rule where I could only purchase fabrics for a new project when the last one was completely finished. Then I revised it where I had to have the top finished at least. Now I have them stacked 8 high!!!! LOL. I guess rules are meant to be changed.

I put mine in 2 gallon plastic zip bags and the store them all in a "paper" box. My husband used to buy lots of paper for the printer. He'd buy it at Sam's Club. And I'd get the empty boxes. I' ve got class UfO's, my Ufo's, kits, my kits, BOM's, quilts to be quilted by me, quilts to be quilted by my LAQ, and shirts all in boxes lined up and stacked 2-3-4 high along the long wall in my cutting room (gd's bedroom before they moved out of state). You can obivously tell I am a procrasternator and a hoarder of quilt related things.

I worked for quite some time last year (over several months) corralling all my fabric and projects into containers that take up a large closet in my sewing room. That has helped quite a bit but I still want to make shelves in half the closet to put all my stash on boards so I can visualize what I have better. Just haven't had the gumption to push into this next phase. Good luck with your endeavors!

Either a large ziploc, or if it's a completed top, I hang it with those pants hangers with the clips, and hang in closet.
